These 5-pound lots of tumbling rough from California's wild Yuba River are primarily for the kids--the rocks are already sized and "partially processed" by Mother Nature and are ready for Stage #1--after just a week or two, you can move to Stage 2 with well shaped rock.  Saves weeks in Stage 1.  The resulting polished rock is mostly Quartz with some Jasper and Agate.  Any kid will love this stuff!  You are buying 5 pounds of this mix at only $2.50 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.

Wonderstone (aka, Rhyolite)--5 Pound Lot

This is great looking Wonderstone from Fallon, Nevada, a product of volcanoes.  It's fairly soft and tumbles & polishes quickly.  This is another stone that kids like--it is easy to process, especially if you mix it with 25% of the Ceramic Shape Mix.  You are buying 5 pounds of this mix at $3.50 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  You will need to size it yourself (quarter size or slightly larger for a 3-pound barrel).  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.

Stoney Creek Jasper Mix--5 Pound Lot

This is really nice Jasper from California's famous Stoney Creek drainage.  This rock is hard and it polishes to a mirror finish.  It is multi-colored and most is unbroken (large & small pieces)--you can cut for cabochons or size for the tumbler--either way, you're in for a treat!  Figure to break it to quarter size or slightly larger for a 3-pound barrel.  You are buying 5 pounds of this mix at $4.00 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.

This is great Montana Agate from an old estate--very colorful, with lots of dendrites and swirly patterns.  Very hard and polishes to a high sheen.  These are fist-sized pieces and smaller--some can be cut & cabbed.  All can be tumbled successfully.  Figure to break it to quarter size or slightly larger for a 3-pound barrel.  You are buying 5 pounds of this agate at $4.50 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.

Assorted Black Obsidian--5 Pound Lot

This is a mixture of silver sheen, some rainbow, and some jet black, all from California's famous Davis Creek area.  Obsidian is volcanic glass, and is the sharpest material known--it is still used for surgeon's scalpels.  You can cut this material for cabochons or break it for tumbling--all those sharp edges will quickly disappear, because it is so soft.  The trick is to start a batch with 50% Ceramic Shape Mix and then grind out the imperfections & spalled areas after two weeks in Stage 1.  Then take your time and watch it shine up like crazy.  Figure to break it to quarter size or slightly larger for a 3-pound barrel.  You are buying 5 pounds of this obsidian at $4.50 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.

Mahogany Obsidian--5 Pound Lot

This is really gorgeous Mahogany Obsidian in large and small pieces--some call it Leopard Skin Obsidian--it takes an extremely high polish, but there's a trick.  The trick is to start a batch with 50% Ceramic Shape Mix and then grind out the imperfections & spalled areas after two weeks in Stage 1.  Then take your time in subsequent batches, making up for lost volume with more Ceramic Shape Mix.  Break it to quarter size or slightly larger for a 3-pound barrel.  You are buying 5 pounds of this Mahogany Obsidian at $5.00 per pound--enough for two 3-pound barrels.  If you order a quantity of two, you get 10 pounds, etc.
